چکیده

This paper aims at assessing the effect of dry friction on dynamic behaviour a damped mechanical system subject to harmonic forcing. Previous work systems highlighted that not including other forms damping in analysis can lead unrealistic results such as presence infinite resonances. In this contribution, an exact solution is derived for continuous steady-state response multi-degree-of-freedom with contact between one masses and external wall, using Coulomb’s law model force modal account system’s damping. Closed-form expressions are also amplitude phase responses, while stick–slip responses investigated by ad-hoc numerical approach. addition, analytical used exploring features motion regimes response, leading following conclusions: (i) has limited low- high-frequency behaviours, invariant points inversions across transmissibility curves therefore be neglected, non-resonant conditions, structures where main source dissipation; (ii) when accounted models along Coulomb damping, finite resonant peaks obtained sliding regime their decreases linearly generated contact.

Identifying Coulomb and Viscous Friction in Forced Dual - Damped Oscillators

This paper presents a method for estimating Coulomb and viscous friction coefficients from responses of a harmonically excited dual-damped oscillator with linear stiffness. The identification method is based on existing analytical solutions of non-sticking responses excited near resonance. The method is applicable if the damping ratio of viscous component can be considered small. The Coulomb an...

Effects of Vibration on a Coulomb Friction System

Deformable systems that rely on dry friction for their proper functioning are widely found in many engineering applications such as bolted components, railway ballast. The design of these systems is usually considered from static point of view and employing Coulomb model of friction. This paper studies the effects of dynamic loading on the behavior of a two dimensional system by finite element ...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
